Privacy Policy

Cloud Developer: Real Life Simulator is made and run by Gian Franco Negron Betetta, an individual based in Peru, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: clouddevelopersim@protonmail.ch.

The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

1. Playing without an account

The free demo needs no account. Your career, settings and theme are saved in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

2. If you create an account

To buy the Founders Edition or use cloud saves, you create an account. We then store:

• your email address, used to sign you in and to send you messages about your account and purchase;
• your game save, so you can continue on any device;
• whether you own the Founders Edition, and the Paddle order reference;
• the name you choose for the credits, if you choose to appear there.

Accounts and saves are stored with Supabase, our database and sign-in provider.

3. Payments

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing country and email to process the order, calculate tax and prevent fraud, under Paddle's Privacy Notice. We never see or store your card details. Paddle shares with us your email, country, order details and order status so we can unlock your purchase.

4. Hosting and security logs

The website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and basic request details (such as browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. If we add visitor statistics, we will use a cookieless, privacy-friendly tool that doesn't identify you or follow you across other sites.

5. Why we use your data

• To provide the game and your purchase (performing our contract with you).
• To keep the service secure and working, and to prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
• To keep purchase records required by tax and accounting law (legal obligation).

We only email you about your account, your purchase, important changes to the game, and the Founders Steam key. We will not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

6. Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the service: Paddle (payments), Supabase (accounts and saves), Cloudflare (hosting), and an email delivery provider for sign-in emails. They process data on our behalf or, in Paddle's case, as the seller of record. Some of them store data outside Peru, including in the United States. We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your email, saves and credits name within 30 days, except purchase records that we or Paddle must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing clouddevelopersim@protonmail.ch. We will reply within 30 days. These rights include those under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Ley N.º 29733) and, where they apply to you, the EU and UK GDPR and US state privacy laws. You can also complain to Peru's data protection authority (Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales) or to the authority where you live.

9. Children

Cloud Developer is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and, for significant changes, email account holders. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
